Innovation Day 2025 Sigmaringen – Making innovation tangible

Around 200 students from the university took the opportunity to experience the latest trends in the fields of food, hygiene and technology first-hand. Among the exhibitors was Wetrok – the only company representing the professional cleaning sector.
Clean solutions with a future
At the Wetrok station, everything revolved around two innovations that attracted great interest in the university environment: Granuline and Novaline (nominee for the Purus Innovation Award 2025). Both product lines represent sustainable cleaning technologies that combine efficiency and environmental responsibility. The innovative bio-based surfactants used in the Novaline range in particular sparked curiosity – many students were eager to learn how such raw materials are developed and what kind of research lies behind them.
A highlight of the event was the live demonstration of the foaming method: students had the opportunity to experience first-hand how professional cleaning is performed. Most of them had never seen this technique before – and were genuinely impressed. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, not least because the presentation demonstrated that cleaning, too, is an exciting and forward-looking field of innovation.
Dialogue on equal terms
The atmosphere throughout the day was open, curious and marked by mutual respect. Wetrok used the opportunity to engage with future professionals – discussing internship opportunities, product development and career paths. It wasn’t about recruitment, but about inspiration: fostering an exchange between theory and practice, between research and real-world application.
«Events like this are important to us because they make knowledge tangible,» concluded Petra Gall and Christina Menzel from the Wetrok team, who attended the event. «We can show that cleaning is much more than routine – it’s technology, materials science and sustainable innovation all at once.»
For Wetrok, the Innovation Day was more than just an exhibition – it was a dialogue on equal footing with young talents who will soon take on responsibility in research, industry or facility management. Being present at universities not only strengthens the brand’s image but also opens meaningful dialogue with the next generation of decision-makers.
After all, those who ask insightful questions about bio-based surfactants today may well be shaping Wetrok’s sustainable cleaning technologies tomorrow.
